I am Kabir Gupta, the creator of the website The Legends of Shiva. This blog tells about the
stories of Lord Shiva. The tales of Lord Shiva are written in a simple language
so that even a layman can understand it. I have started this blog to tell about
our Gods (primarily Lord Shiva) because nowadays no one reads our scriptures,
ancient texts, Vedas, Puranas and all those things that they should read.
Parents also do not encourage their children to read our scriptures because
they think that their child may become a sanyasi. Here is my message to all the
parents, " If you want your children to always walk on the path of Dharma
and righteousness then you ought to tell them about our rich heritage, our Gods
and about anything that has made Sanatan Dharma what it is today."
This
blog will help you to understand Lord Shiva in his various manifestations. He
is Shambho ( the Auspicious One) and also the Rudra (the Roarer). He is
Bhasmeshwar (smeared with ash) and also Chandrashekhar (the most handsome man
in the universe). He is beyond time and controls it. He can even make Yama, the
God of Death bow in fear when he protected Markandeya from death and blessed
him with immortality. He is Mahadeva, the God of the Gods. He has so many
Kathayein in his name that it is impossible to tell about all of them at once.
